You've finished a long day of work, cleaning, schlepping the kids around, you name it, you've done it. You've been on your feet a lot and you would give your right arm for a foot rub. A ten minute foot rub is the ONLY thing standing between you and heaven. But is that foot massage beneficial? Is your husband really a master of reflexology and you just didn't realize it?
Let's talk about the the differences between reflexology and the foot rub you bribe your husband to give you.
As we've said in a few previous posts, reflexology is all about aligning the body, while relaxation happens to be a pleasant side effect. In a simple comparison, a foot rub (a REAL one) focuses on stress reduction and pain relief of the foot, so more of a local treatment.
Reflexologists understand the anatomy of the body. They know the specific areas of the body to massage intensely through the feet to promote a healing response. It is specific and can only be done by a trained professional.
A foot rub can do wonders, but reflexology can work miracles!
